UNN lecturers are wonderful people who are committed in teaching and impacting knowledge to students.
However, sometimes the relationship between students and lecturers is not always smooth.
Here are some words that UNN lecturers during lectures.
You Will Fail:
This is used after the unseriousness of a student or the class in general annoys the lecturer.
You will fail is like a warning from them that If you continue doing what you're doing, you'll fail o.
Ask of Me:
Lecturers use this word to assert their dominance. Especially if they notice that the current students now take them for granted.
They'll be like, 'Ask of me oo, I can do and undo'.
If a lecturer says ask of me, please do, so that you will know where to play and stop regarding that lecturer.
You Will Come Back Next Year:
Trust me, you do not wish for this word to be directed to you.
When a lecturer tells you that you'll come back next year, it only takes the grace of God and the lecturers forgiveness for you to escape carryover in that course.
You Again:
This word is usually directed to people who fall victim to the previous statement.
Lecturers use it when they see and recognize a carryover student.
They'll be like 'You, so you are here again'
Lock The Door:
Most lecturers expect students to be seated before they arrive. Therefore some of them when they arrive will order for the class door to be locked.
They'll be like, 'Class rep, go and lock the door' or 'You at the back, lock the door'.
Tip: If the lecturer has locked the door before you come in, then respect yourself and stay outside oo.
Some students try to play smart and sneak in, but if they are caught, the consequences can be earth shaking.
Tear Out a Sheet of Paper:
This one is random and can come at anytime.
It is mostly used when lecturers want to give an impromptu test for reasons best known to them.
They use this word most times when they are very few students in a lecture and they want to punish those that did not come.
That tear out a sheet of paper test can sometimes be worth 20marks, so never be caught lacking.
What is Your Reg Number?
Never annoy a lecturer and make them ask you this question. 90 percent of the time, it is not a good question.
Lecturers mostly ask for you reg number when they want to identify and punish you for a particular reason.
Therefore the correct answer to the question 'What is your reg number?' is 'Please Sir/ Please Ma/ Have Mercy Ma/ Kneeling down and begging with tears etc.
(PS: sometimes they can ask the question to reward you for doing something good. Therefore understand the situation before replying)
Where is (insert student name)?
Finally, the question is mostly used for good.
Lecturers ask where a particular student is if, they have a personal relationship with the student, if the student is active in class or if the student is exceptionally intelligent.
Therefore, note those people lecturers are always asking about and become close to them. Then Your stay in UNN will be soft and your academics prosperous.
